Access to safe drinking water and sanitation, along with adequate hygiene practices and the ability to effectively manage water resources, can profoundly shape a nation’s path to stability, economic prosperity, and self-reliance.

Health Programmes

UMURDA's health programs have saved lives, protected people most vulnerable to disease, and promoted the stability of communities and nations, while advancing Uganda's security and prosperity.

Gender Equality & Empowerment

Investing in gender equality and women’s empowerment can unlock human potential on a transformational scale. For societies to thrive, women and girls, men and boys must have equal access to education, healthcare, and technology.

Environment & Climate

We know a changing climate will hurt the poor most, undermining the livelihoods of millions of people struggling to break free from poverty. We help communities better manage and benefit from their natural resources

Governance & Human Rights

Fundamental rights of citizens are the bedrock for managing, and mitigating conflict, spurring economic growth and protecting human dignity. Democratic freedoms are more just, peaceful and stable-and their citizens can fulfill their potential.
